Best Practices for Capturing Your Pickup Location Address

Where to manage your pickup locations
In the Seller Portal, navigate to Manage Profile > Account at the bottom-left of the page.
1 Capture an Accurate Address
Pickup location addresses are captured as a text field. The address and geocoordinates shared with the courier are based on the information you enter.
Include all key details: Missing information, such as a street number, can result in delayed or failed collections.
Check the location: You should be able to copy and paste the address into Google Maps and receive a precise location.
2 Use Each Address Field Correctly
Make sure the correct information is captured in each pickup location field.
Address Name
This is used for your internal reference only. The information captured in this field is not shared with the courier.
Street Address
Capture the complete pickup address, including:
• Street number
• Street name
• Business or office park name, where applicable
Postal Code
Ensure the postal code accurately reflects the suburb or area of the pickup location.
Primary Contact Details
Capture the correct contact person and cellphone number. The courier may need to make contact to confirm a collection.
3 Correct an Inaccurate Location
Pickup locations cannot be edited after they have been created.
1. Create a new pickup location with the correct details.
2. Disable the incorrect location once it is no longer being used.
3. Use the location toggle to enable or disable a pickup location.
Accurate details support successful collections
A complete and precise pickup address, together with an available primary contact, helps the courier locate your premises and complete collections without unnecessary delays.
4 Update Inventory for the New Location
After creating a new pickup location, update your inventory for that location in the Inventory section of the Seller Portal.
5 Understand the Difference Between Your Business and Pickup Addresses
Your business address and pickup location address are captured separately in the Seller Portal.
Which address is used for collections?
Couriers use your pickup location address when collecting orders. Make sure this address is correctly configured and contains complete and accurate location details.
