Some sellers using Microsoft Excel (especially from the Microsoft Office Suite) have reported issues when uploading the bulk inventory update file on the Makro Seller Portal. These failures are typically caused by formatting conflicts introduced by Excel.


📍 Temporary Workaround

If your upload fails, follow the steps below to successfully update your inventory:

  1. Download the bulk inventory file from the Seller Portal as usual.
  2. Locate the saved file on your computer.
  3. Right-click > Open With > Notepad (on Windows) or TextEdit (on Mac).
  4. Make your edits directly in the plain text editor — e.g., update stock quantities.
  5. Save the file, ensuring you do not change the file name or format.
  6. Return to the portal and upload the file via: Inventory > Bulk Stock Update > Update Stock.

✅ Why This Works

Opening and saving the file in Excel may insert hidden formatting or characters that interfere with the upload process. Editing in a plain text editor like Notepad avoids these issues.
