With the introduction of fulfilment fees on Makro Marketplace, some products are no longer financially viable to sell as single units. To maintain healthy margins and reduce the impact of fulfilment costs, we encourage sellers to create “Pack of” listings — grouping multiple units into one product listing.
⚠️ Important: If you already have a single unit listing for the item, you should create a new, separate listing for the “Pack of” version. You will also need to use a different SKU ID. If the single unit is no longer feasible to sell, it should be made inactive.
This article explains how to correctly list a “Pack of” product and avoid common mistakes that can mislead buyers.
Fulfilment fees are charged per product listing, not per unit inside the listing. That means:
This significantly improves the economics for low-cost or lightweight items, like:
Examples include toothpaste, soap bars, sachets, and sponges — where selling in packs helps improve your margin.
When creating your listing, you’ll be asked to fill in two important attributes:
Product: Pack of 4 soap bars, each 200g
4 x 200g
✅ This is correct. The buyer clearly sees that they’re buying 4 bars, each weighing 200g.
Mistake: Total weight (800g) entered into Quantity field
4 x 800g
→ ❌ Misleading (Looks like 3.2kg total!)This creates confusion and risks order cancellations or returns.
You can use product imagery that shows:
Just ensure the image is high-quality, clear, and accurately represents what the customer will receive.
When entering package dimensions and weight, use the total values for the full pack. These determine how the fulfilment fee is calculated and how your item is shipped.
