How to Edit Your Product Information

Once your product listing is created, you may need to make changes or updates to the product information. This article explains how to edit your product details, what can be modified, and how to handle attributes that are not editable.

Editing Product Information

Sellers can edit product information after it's been created. However, any changes you make will need to go through the Quality Control (QC) process again before the updated information is reflected on the platform. Here’s how to edit your product details:

  1. Navigate to "My Listings":

    • Log in to your Seller Portal and go to Listings > My Listings.
  2. Select the Product to Edit:

    • Find the product you want to edit. Click the three dots icon on the far right of the line item, and select "Edit Catalog".
  3. Make Necessary Edits:

    • You will be taken to the same page where you originally added your product details.
    • Editable Fields: You can modify any fields that are not greyed out. Some fields will remain greyed out and cannot be changed directly.
  4. Submit for QC:

    • After making your changes, click "Send to QC". This will trigger the QC process, similar to when you submit a new product.
    • Important: The product will not be visible on the site until the updated information passes the QC review.

What Can and Cannot Be Edited?

  • Non-Editable Fields: Certain fields, such as the SKU ID and Other Mandatory Fields cannot be changed. These fields are greyed out to prevent issues with product consistency.

Handling Uneditable Fields

If you need to change an uneditable field, such as the SKU or another greyed-out attribute, follow these steps:

  1. Submit a Request to Support:

    • If you absolutely need to correct an error in a greyed-out field, contact Seller Support.
    • Provide the FSN (product identifier), specify the attribute(s) that need to change, and include the new value.
  2. Support Escalation:

    • Seller Support will reach out to the catalogue team to assist with your request. Note that this is subject to the catalogue team’s ability to accommodate the change.

Important Notes

  • SKU ID: The SKU ID cannot be changed under any circumstances. If you need to create a new SKU, you must create a new product listing.
  • Creating New Versions: If your edit involves significant changes, such as upgrading the product version or adding major new features, you will be required to create a new product listing instead of editing the existing one.

By following these guidelines, you can easily manage and update your product listings while ensuring your changes are compliant with platform standards. Always remember that any substantial changes should be made carefully to avoid turning your product into an updated version, which would require a new product listing.
