Vertical Requests on Makro Marketplace
Follow this process if you cannot find a suitable vertical for the products you want to list on Makro Marketplace.
A vertical is the product category used to determine which attributes and information are required when creating a product listing.
If there is no suitable vertical available for your product, you may submit a request for a new vertical to be considered.
Before Requesting a New Vertical
Check whether an edit to an existing vertical could support your product instead of creating an entirely new vertical.
Updating an existing vertical is generally faster than creating a new one. Clearly explain what information or attributes are missing from the existing vertical when submitting your request.

Provide the Required Information
Include enough information for the Vertical Team to understand and assess your request.
Requested Vertical
Clearly state the name or type of vertical you are requesting.
Product Link
Include a link to an online product that represents the type of product you plan to list. This helps the Vertical Team understand the requested category.
Planned Listing Volume
State how many product listings you plan to create in the requested vertical.
Existing Vertical Consideration
Confirm whether you reviewed the existing verticals and explain why an edit to an existing vertical would not meet your requirements.

Vertical Team Review
Your request will be sent to the Vertical Team for review. The team will assess the product type, expected listing volume and whether an existing vertical can be updated to support the request.
Important: Submitting a request does not guarantee that the vertical will be created. Not all vertical requests will be accepted.

Wait for Feedback
Once the request has been reviewed, you will receive feedback on whether it can be supported and the next steps.
Creating a new vertical requires configuration and testing and may take a few months to complete.
What to Include in Your Request
The name or description of the requested vertical.
A link to an online product that represents the requested vertical.
The number of listings you plan to create in the vertical.
An explanation of why an edit to an existing vertical would not meet your requirements.
